The Euro Hangout is a Counter-Strike server which was set up with one goal in mind: to provide a fun place to play for everyone. We pride ourselves on having a friendly atmosphere, good people and admins that dont interfere unecessarily. Part of the reason for us creating the server in the first place was out of frustration at the lack of servers which treated players fairly.
We've all played on servers where you get banned unjustifiably: whether its because you were playing very well or because you are new to the game, and dont fully understand what you should do. Or we have all played on a server where admins are rude and obnoxious for no reason - we feel that we provide a server suitable for players of all skill levels, where players will not have to worry about being suspect for playing well, or ridiculed for playing badly. We aim to make the server a friendly place where everyone will feel welcome.
The server itself started out as a USA based clan server for a short-lived multi-national clan called Sa Inc. After the clan fell apart, the server moved to Amsterdam, Holland, and was rebranded The Euro Hangout. In under a year, we have become the #1 ranked Amsterdam-based server for any game, we have become the #10 ranked Holland-based server for any game, and we have moved into the top 2000 Counter-Strike servers in the world.
Not only have we done well in the server rankings, but we have also built up a strong base of regular players from all over Europe. We are extremely grateful to all players who choose to spend time on our server, and hope that we return the favour by providing an excellent place to play.
